Landmark Residence - Depo

The project reimagines a former industrial site as a vibrant mixed-use urban quarter, strengthening the identity of this part of the city while responding to contemporary patterns of living. New residential and commercial buildings are carefully integrated with preserved elements of the former tram depot, creating a dialogue between historic industrial heritage and contemporary architecture. Defined by restrained volumes, generous balconies, and a carefully composed palette of materials, the new buildings frame a sequence of landscaped courtyards and public spaces that encourage social interaction and connect the development to its surrounding urban context. The existing ground-floor building along King Alexander Boulevard and a portion of the historic tram depot wall have been retained and incorporated into the new composition, preserving the site's memory while giving it a renewed civic role. Together, the restored heritage structures and new buildings form a cohesive architectural ensemble that balances continuity with transformation.
