This urban villa occupies the penthouse level of a residential building in Belgrade, positioned to capture uninterrupted views of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers and the historic fortress beyond. The project is conceived as a continuous living environment in which interior and exterior spaces are closely intertwined. The primary living space extends directly onto a generous terrace, dissolving the boundary between inside and outside and allowing the landscape to become part of everyday life.
The material palette is deliberately restrained. Exposed concrete ceilings are left untreated, establishing a calm and neutral framework for the interior. Natural wood, metal, and integrated planting—including a continuous green terrace—reinforce the connection to the surrounding landscape. Materials are expressed in their authentic state, without concealment or embellishment.
The interior is organized as an open plan, allowing for flexibility and fluid movement. Furniture is carefully selected and positioned to remain secondary to the architecture—integrated rather than imposed—reinforcing the project's restrained architectural language and allowing the spatial experience to remain the primary focus. The result is a quiet, expansive living environment defined by light, material honesty, and a seamless relationship with the city and its natural setting.
